Ravens

Choose which reports from the company's operations agents reach your mail — Griddler updates, releases, builds, spend, incidents, deadlines — and turn any of them off.

Needs sign-in

Where: Guild Hall→Ravens

Ravens is the room on the Guild Hall web page where you choose which reports from the company's operations agents reach your mail. You decide for yourself: reports start off, and you turn on the ones you want.

Open it at griddler.eode.app/hall#ravens. If the page asks, click Sign in with riverlogic.com and use your River Logic account.

Turn a report on

Find the report and click its switch so it reads ON. The agent's next report lands in your Messages dock as mail from that agent, for example dalek for Griddler updates.

Everything that reaches you is listed in the strip at the top. The count beside RAVENS reads N of M reach you.

Turn a report off

Either:

  • click × on the report's chip in the strip at the top (Stop sending me this), or
  • click the report's switch so it reads OFF.

It stops from the agent's next report. Only your own subscription changes.

A report you get as part of a group, or because it goes to everyone, shows via the name group or via everyone on its chip instead of ×. Its switch still turns it off for you alone; the rest of the group keeps getting it.

Find a report

Reports are grouped by topic. Click a topic's heading to fold it; Ravens remembers what you folded on this browser. Type in Filter — builds, spend, heimdall… to search report names, descriptions, agents and topics.

Each row shows the report, the agent that sends it, what it covers and how often, and how many people read it.

TopicFor example
Releases & updatesGriddler updates: what's new in each Griddler release, with a link to the release notes. Production release notes and deploy results.
Builds & pipelinesNew build failures with a diagnosis, build agents going offline, a daily build health summary.
SpendWorkspaces heading for a spend cap; a daily spend summary.
Incidents & alertsAn Azure Monitor alert explained once it resolves; a daily ops health summary.
Deadlines & lifecycleRetirements, certificate expiries and other deadlines coming up.
SecuritySecurity incidents an agent couldn't close on its own; a daily security summary.
KnowledgeWhat changed in the team wiki this week.

The room is the live list: a new report appears there once an admin approves it.

Approve a new report

Admins only. When an agent sends a report for the first time, it waits on the admin portal's reports tab marked pending. Until an admin clicks approve for Ravens, it reaches only the people the agent sent it to and isn't listed in Ravens. See Admin portal.

Limits

  • A change applies to the next report. Mail already delivered stays in your inbox.
  • A report an admin retires leaves Ravens and stops for everyone.
