The pane toolbar
Name a session, switch its account or model, post to a ticket, clear it, pop it out, and read what a pane's border and chips are telling you.
Where: Any pane→header
Every pane has the same header. Hover any control for its name.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Claude / Codex | Which agent runs here. It's also the drag handle; see Arrange the grid. |
| Account chip | Which login the pane runs under. Click it to switch; see below. |
| Folder name | The folder the agent works in. Hover it for the full path. |
| describe this session… + 💾 | Names the session. |
| Model, effort | What the session is running now. |
| 🔖 | Posts a comment on a ticket. |
| 📮 | Drafts a team post from the session; see Standup, posts and stories. |
| 📋 ▾ | Clean copy, last response, Teams message, email draft, send to another pane; see Copy and paste. |
| 🧹 | Clears the conversation. |
| ⇱ | Opens the pane in its own window, still live. |
| ✕ | Closes the pane. |
Name a session
Type a name in describe this session… and click 💾 or press Enter. The button shows ✓ for a moment.
The name then appears in the Session list when you start or resume a session and
in Search all sessions. Put a ticket number in the name, like #1011 or PLAN-2833,
and 🔖 fills it in for you.
Switch the model or effort
Pick from the pane's model or effort dropdown. They always show what the session is really running,
including changes you make yourself with /model or /effort.
- Claude Code switches right away: Griddler types the command into the pane for you.
- Codex keeps its model until the pane next starts.
- Picking default leaves the running session alone and applies at the next start.
Move a conversation to another account
Click the account chip and pick another login. Griddler asks Switch to …?, then restarts the agent in the same pane on that login with the same conversation. It's useful when one account runs out of quota.
The chip only appears once you've added an auth profile for that agent in 🎭; see Accounts and usage. A chip reading ⚠ plus a name means that account was deleted; pick another from it.
Post a comment on a ticket
Click 🔖. Post to ticket opens and drafts a comment from your selection, or from the agent's last response if nothing is selected.
- Check Ticket:
#123for Azure DevOps,PLAN-123for Jira. It's filled in when the pane's name has one. - Edit Comment.
- Click Post. 🔖 shows ✓ and the ticket for a moment when it lands.
The comment goes onto an existing Azure DevOps work item or Jira issue; it doesn't create one. Posting goes through Claude Code on this computer, so Claude Code needs the Azure DevOps or Jira MCP server set up and signed in. See which servers you have in 🧩.
Clear, pop out, close
